Bohinj or the Bohinj Basin is a 20 km long and 5 km wide basin within the Julian Alps, in the Upper Carniola region of north-western Slovenia. It is part of Triglav National Park. Its main feature is the periglacial Lake Bohinj. Slovenia's largest lake is a picture of peace and serenity.

It's brooding and mystical feel are encouraged by the steep mountain faces that rise out of the lake on the northern side, with mountain peaks also dominating the background to the west and south. On clear days you can even see the peak of the mighty Triglav. It is perfect destination for active incentives and team buildings. Nature is ideal for all seasons – full of white slopes which transform the area into a winter sports centre and in the summer a pearl attracting many to its waters.

Nature lovers will also like the fact that there is an eco hotel in Bohinj that was first of its kind in Slovenia.
