Connected to Adriatic

In April I had a chance to visit nature themed workshop on island Lošinj, Croatia. From the Trieste airport, Italy where we picked up our UK colleague Steve it took us only one hour from Italy, through Slovenia to Croatia. What a ride with a magnificent view to the Gulf of Venice. Then suddenly the environment changed to the typical Carst landscape with ready golf course meadows. The next view I remember was the one over the Gulf of Kvarner where just the day before spotted 4 meters long shark - the friendly one. Over the channel there it was island Lošinj and well known Jadrolinja ferry.

While driving I realized again how Slovenia, Italy and Croatia are close together and connected by common friend the Adriatic Sea. From Rimini, Portorož down to Dubrovnik there are countless venues for MICE events. It's up to you to choose the best option!

Natour Adria travel trade show

From 24th -26th of April on island Lošinj took place 4th Natour Adria trade and travel show of active holidays. The trade show was organized in a beautiful natural setting of Mali Losinj. 27 providers of outdoor activities and active holidays from Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro presented their offer. Stunning environment, crowded meetings and positive energy was something that marked all three days of the show.

For those interested in next NATOUR event, NATOUR ALPS, will take place in Soča Valley, in Bovec, Slovenia, from 11 to 13 October 2012.

Portorož - The port of roses

This beautiful coastal town is build so it is protected from burja-strong north-east wind typical for the Adriatic Sea. Close to the border you can hear the Italian accent coming through in the natives’ dialect.

With its medieval narrowly paved streets, colorful architecture with music coming from the terraces, the warm seasons are the time when Portorož shines. It also is the cradle of luxury hotels in Slovenia that lay on the promenade along the sea-side.

Diverse culinary experiences are based on Mediterranean flavors, good vine and olive trees. Traditional food is full of fresh fish and vegetables. The flavors are enhanced by the wide range of products that locals produce themselves. It is the town that is closely connected to nature.

Protected from the sea, but still close enough to taste it, Portorož is a place where you forget about past and future and for a brief moment, stop the time.

Pirates of the Adriatic

Lazy sailing on the Adriatic sea can be relaxing and beautiful, but if you need some excitement and you wish for adventure, then sailing is not for you, right? Wrong!
Set sail with one or more sails, discover secret pirate's routes and unknown harbours. In them you will meet the real pirates who will help you to continue your way. But they are demanding. What are you willing to give or do in order to get an information from a pirate? Are you willing to cooperate with others? And what if he says that only the first one gets the prize - will you are against your friends?
Now hoist your sails, wish and hope for a favourable wind and find the long hidden treasures, lying lost in or near the sea.
